About this experience
Garganta do Céu shares its starting point with Pedra da Gávea but takes a different route, climbing steeply over roots and rocks to about 700 metres. It's 4.2 km with faint sections and forks, so it's almost always done with a guide. The reward is a view over São Conrado, Dois Irmãos, the Lagoon and Christ the Redeemer, without the crowds of the better-known trails.
