Tijuca Forest: Trails, Waterfalls and Vista Chinesa
Half a day in Rio's urban rainforest, with a nature guide and a waterfall swim.

One of the world's largest urban forests: waterfalls, caves, capuchin monkeys and abseiling among the trees.
Tijuca Forest was replanted from 1861 onwards to protect the springs that supplied the city. Today it is part of Tijuca National Park, one of the most visited national parks in Brazil, with dozens of waterfalls, caves and viewpoints half an hour from Copacabana.
Outings in this line move at a nature-interpretation pace: your guide points out Atlantic Forest plants, tells the story of the reforestation and picks swimming stops according to how much water is flowing that day.
