About this experience

Passagem dos Olhos, first climbed in 1960, crosses the face of Pedra da Gávea almost entirely sideways, passing the hollows that form the eyes of the Emperor's Head. It's 150 metres in five pitches, with long slabs and small holds and the drop to São Conrado below. It finishes with a steel cable section and the summit at 844 metres.
