About this experience

A session for people who have never climbed. Your instructor introduces the gear, teaches the tie-in knot and basic calls, and you climb 20 to 40 metres on Morro da Urca or Morro da Babilônia with the rope anchored above you, so you're protected the whole time. Everyone climbs at their own pace and can try different routes.

How the day goes

Meet at Praça General Tibúrcio and take a short walk to the crag.
Introduction to the gear, knots and safety.
Top-rope climbs on routes of different difficulty.
Lower-off with your instructor.

If you sign up for the basic course within 30 days, the price of this session is deducted from the course fee.
For safety, leave earrings, piercings, rings and watches behind. Tie long hair back while climbing.
